This is by no means meant to be a comprehensive listening list.  Rather, it is offered as a place to begin for those students who want to start collecting credible jazz recordings that would improve their performance and enhance their enjoyment of the idiom.

Okay, this is a stretch, but many of these tracks have a strong jazz influence. I found Bela's ability to improvise and swing on these unorthodox instruments refreshing. Yet, you might want to borrow this CD from a friend before you make your purchase.
