Course Outline
This course is designed to enhance the students knowledge of the 20th Century, as well as focus their attention on the global events taking place around them. It will focus on the major events of this century such as the Great Depression, World War II, The Holocaust, The Cold War, The Korean War, The Vietnam War, the 60's, and Watergate. Several supplementary materials will be used including movies, and a novel.
Unit I. The Great Depression and The New Deal-apprx. 4 weeks

1. Discuss the stock market and its role in todays
society.
2. Analyze the various possible causes for the
stock market crash of 1929.
3. Understand the role of the "Red Scare" and
